MS NOW recently traveled to Fort Lauderdale to interview Leaving MAGA members and learn more about the work we’ve been doing across America.
Then they aired a segment about us across a few different shows. So far, we have been featured on On the Line, Katy Tur, and Ali Velshi.
Correspondent David Noriega said he was very curious about Leaving MAGA and keen to learn more. As he spoke with us, our mission began to make sense to him.
“When you spend years of your life in a place like that, a headspace like that, and then something suddenly causes you to reassess it,” he reflected on MS NOW, “it’s not easy to suddenly transition out of it.”
He’s absolutely right, and it’s why we exist — to ease that transition.
I spoke with Noriega as part of a panel of five Leaving MAGA members.
“We all have a need for community,” I stressed, “our species yearns for a communal existence. And what Leaving MAGA does is provide a place where people feel seen and heard and recognized, and some of their very valid concerns are acknowledged and validated.”
We’re so excited that we were able to share our message on such a major, national stage.
But we never could’ve come this far without your help.
Every dollar you’ve given. Every post you’ve shared. Every billboard you’ve funded. Every time you’ve told a friend about our organization — you got us here.
We always see an influx of new recruits when a new billboard goes up. Imagine the interest we can generate with national TV appearances.
We’ve got to keep this momentum going. The more people who see what we do, the wider the cracks in MAGA become.
