Leaving MAGA billboards are making headlines.
In Pennsylvania, a local man took the initiative to pay for billboards in York, Hanover, and Mechanicsburg.
Their message is simple: our website, along with a gentle invitation: Welcome Home.
CBS 21 News in Harrisburg ran a story about the billboards. I spoke with them for the piece, explaining both our mission and our ongoing success.
I described how Leaving MAGA offers former Trump supporters an exit ramp and a safe landing in a new community.
And I emphasized that a growing number of people in the MAGA community have significant doubts and concerns.
And it’s not just local news. Even Breitbart — one of the most prominent and complicit MAGA outlets — ran a story about the billboards.
That’s exactly who needs to see our message. When right-wing media can’t ignore what we’re doing, we know we’re breaking through to the people who need an exit ramp most. When I was in MAGA, it was a dream of mine to freelance for and appear in Breitbart. Funny how life sometimes works.
There’s a reason the press is taking interest in our work and in these billboards. Our message is getting out, taking hold, and making a difference.
And it’s all thanks to you.
Because of the organizing we’ve done over the past year, we’re ready to meet this moment. More and more MAGA folks are waking up and realizing that the racism, violence, and violations of the rule of law aren’t what they signed up for.
