The Villages, a retirement community of about 150,000 people in central Florida, was once called “The New Headquarters for Make America Great Again” by Fox News.
Picture golf carts draped in Trump flags rolling through parades, MAGA yard signs that never came down after 2016, and a community so red that in both 2016 and 2020, Trump took more than 70% of the vote in Sumter County — the county The Villages calls home.

But recently, that’s been changing. The Villages Democratic Club has nearly doubled its membership since 2020, neighbors who kept their Harris lawn signs tucked away are finding each other, and in March, The Villages held its largest anti-Trump protest ever, with local media estimating nearly 7,000 residents turning out against him.
And this week, thanks to the support of people like you, we put a Leaving MAGA billboard up in The Villages.

We knew the time was right to strike at the heart of MAGA central.
The trend is clear: the Villagers are fed up.
That’s exactly who we’re here for — the people who are ready and the people who are almost ready. If you’re having doubts, you’re not alone.
Wherever we put up a billboard, we reach people who are on the verge of leaving MAGA but don’t know where to go. Leaving MAGA gives them a direction and guides them toward an exit.
The Villages will be no exception. We’re going to let people know that they don’t have to stay trapped in a decision they made a decade ago. They can let go of MAGA, let go of Trump, and move on toward a better country.
We need your help to make sure our message reaches every doubting MAGA supporter, every Trump voter who’s ready to walk out.
With more funding for additional billboards, we can target more MAGA strongholds like The Villages and reach every person who’s ready to walk out.
Every person who leaves MAGA is one more person we take back. And the more people we take back, the more our country starts to look like itself again.
